It’s here. It’s here. It’s finally here! We can officially say 2017 is done and dusted and today we start fresh. I am so happy to be able to say that!
Not that 2017 didn’t have its good points, but I am not sorry to see it go.
Today we have a “blank” canvas; 2018 can be anything we want it to be and it starts today.
So what am I going to do differently to get this year started on my terms?
- 1Every morning I am going to spend 15 minutes with me, no phone, no kids, no interruptions, and get myself centred. You can call it meditating or planning, but it is time just for me. I will use it to set my intentions for the day or just to be.
- I am going to be nicer to myself. 2017 was hard on me and messed with the way I felt about my body. I’ve stopped being mad at my body. Now it’s time to take the next step, embrace it, and celebrate it for what it is: amazing. I am going to start by writing in my journal every three days amazing things about it.
- My retreating is over and I will start reaching out every day. I will start being more social. I will pick up the phone and call someone I care about every day.
I will admit there is a longer list of things I could do differently building in my head. I am taking notes on it, and I will decide what I want to add for the next while. You cannot change everything in one day, but you can get started.
